Reach Out and Read is a bipartisan organization that is supported by education champions such as Senator Edward Kennedy and First Lady Laura Bush. For the past seven fiscal years, starting in FY2000, Reach Out and Read has received appropriations through the U.S. Department of Education.

Reach Out and Read also works with entities of state government across the country to expand physician participation in ROR. With the active involvement of our many supporters, the ROR National Center will continue to seek public funds that, combined with our private support, will enable ROR to make a difference in many more lives.
