We're thrilled that Reach Out and Read - and our National
Medical Director Dr. Perri Klass - are featured in A Path Appears, the latest book by
acclaimed New York Times columnist Nick Kristof and his wife,
Sheryl WuDunn. The book includes a "sweeping tapestry of people who

our time, by capitalizing on our skills as individuals, or by using
the resources of our businesses."
In the book, Kristof and WuDunn write of Reach Out and Read: "It
is an excellent example of a cost-effective, evidence-based program
that helps kids in a crucial window of development."
As Kristof and WuDunn - both Pulitzer Prize-winning journalists
- have been crisscrossing the country on book tour, they've been
highlighting Reach Out and Read as an organization of change. Click
