Doctor-Recommended Books for Children of Military Families

Reach Out and Read

Reach Out and Read's Military Initiative currently serves 90,000 children, including more than 25% of all children of U.S. military families.

While those children receive many of the same books as all other children served by Reach Out and Read, our providers have developed a list of some of the best books specifically for military families. These books have military themes, or help children and families to cope with the stress of separation and deployment.
