Reach Out and Read Georgia was selected as the local, nonprofit recipient of several Barnes & Noble and Books A Million holiday book drives across the state. To celebrate the honor we launched an incredible new partnership with local actress Kyliegh Curran. Kyliegh is a young and talented actress from Atlanta who who has a starring role in the movie Doctor Sleep, a sequel to The Shining, a Stephen King movie.
Kyliegh Curran read aloud to adoring fans and book lovers at our neighborhood Barnes and Noble Alpharetta location in Georgia on Saturday, November 2nd. Kyliegh graciously answered questions and signed autographs for all in attendance.
Over 50 children’s books were purchased and donated during the event to benefit our program. Kyliegh will be hosting a second special story time at the Barnes & Noble Alpharetta store on Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 a.m..
