Let the hotel know if you have any special room requests and whether you have any serious life-threatening allergies the kitchen should be aware of. Most common dietary needs (i.e. vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free) will be covered in their standard buffets.

Travel logistics
- Attendees should fly into Portland International Airport (PDX)
- Airport-Hotel Transportation: A shuttle bus between the airport and hotel will not be provided. Portland International Airport is conveniently located 12 miles from The Benson Portland Hotel (approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on the time of day). Use ride share, taxi, or ride the Max to and from the hotel. It is a 20-30 min drive to the hotel or a 40-minute ride on the Max (red line) to the hotel. Please make efforts to minimize transportation costs by traveling with colleagues if possible. If you have mobility requirements, please get in touch with HR@reachoutandread.org.
- For travel costs to and from Portland, staff should either use their personal credit card and submit for reimbursement through Concur or contact their manager to utilize the corporate card, if applicable. If neither option is available and a hardship arises, please contact Mashael Vidal to use the National credit card to book travel.
