Jeannette Mejias

Jeannette Mejias, a dedicated parent leader, embarked on her journey at the SPAN Parent Advocacy Network as a Family Engagement Program Director. Her role involved providing individualized assistance, coaching, and parent-to-parent support to families with Children with Special Health Care needs (CYSHCN). Drawing from her personal experience as a parent of a child with a disability, Jeannette’s commitment and expertise led to her recent promotion as the Program Director of Family Engagement. In this new role, she spearheads the State Family Engagement Center work at SPAN.

Jeannette is a graduate of the Cittone Institute majoring in Business and a graduate of the Family Scholar Program of the Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP), the recipient of AMCHP’s 2015 Young Maternal Child Health Professional Award for Region II and NJLEND Family Fellow (2016-2017).
