March 30 is National Doctors’ Day. Our team is hearing from our pediatricians and providers on the front lines saying books matter more than ever and provide a sense of normalcy for both the pediatrician and the family.
On a call yesterday, a local pediatric partner shared that as she was prescribing a book to a young patient she almost broke down in tears at the simple familiarity of the exchange. Her emotions reminded her that in chaotic times prescribing a book and anticipatory guidance is a powerful and simple act.
