Celebrating Georgia Pre-K Week at Robins Air Force Base

Georgia Pre-K Week was a natural opportunity to highlight our program in action by hosting an event at Robins Air Force Base with a special visit by Shaw Blackmon of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Reach Out and Read Georgia is a proud sponsor of Georgia Pre-K Week organized by Voices for Georgia’s Children.

During the week community leaders and elected officials visit their communities to see early learning in action and read a favorite children’s book to young learners.

Pediatricians are recognized as the first and most trusted resource for families and so Georgia Pre-K Week was a natural opportunity to highlight our program in action by hosting a special visit at one of our four military program sites in Georgia at Robins Air Force Base with a special visit by Shaw Blackmon of the Georgia House of Representatives.

A huge thanks to Captain Valdez, Captain Brock, Bonnie Hood and the entire staff and families at Robins Air Force Base for their warm hospitality. A great time was had by all the families!

Since 2012 medical providers at Robins have given 11,032 new children’s books to their well deserving military patient families.
