Strategy. Impact. Policy. Equity. Reach. FY24 was a year of growth across many fronts – and geographies – for Reach Out and Read.

Our 39,000 clinicians served 4.6 million children, integrating 7.7 million books and guidance about shared reading into million well-child visits — all part of our vision to create a world where all children have the relationships and resources to learn and thrive.

We released a new strategic plan, a framework to serving 10 million kids by 2030. We also celebrated our 35th anniversary, landed record investments, and reignited policy work at the federal level. And we doubled down on using the power of our network to accelerate expansion and support more families nationwide.

All of our work is done with an equity lens, leveraging the lived experiences of our staff, leaders, and board and focusing growth on under-resourced communities; giving families of all types access to our model; and ensuring their cultures and communities are included in the books we share.
