biography

Dr. Clare Crosh is a primary care and academic pediatrician at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn Illinois. Clinically, she works at a busy outpatient clinic on Chicago’s South West side. Dr. Crosh’s current research is focused around early childhood education, health equity, and shared reading.

Dr. Crosh completed her Pediatric Residency and Chief year at Advocate Children’s Hospital-Oak Lawn and then a General Academic Pediatric Fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s. Dr. Crosh’s research has been recognized via institutional and national awards. Currently Dr. Crosh runs the Community Advocate Rotation for the residency program and is a board member of the Illinois branch of Reach Out and Read.

Completed a community-based participatory research project around Dialogic Reading funded through a CATCH Grant.

Completed a qualitative study exploring parental beliefs and motivations around early shared reading.
Studied distribution of libraries and circulation of children’s books in Cincinnati.

Ongoing Research

Currently research health outcomes based on geographic locations within Chicago.
