Three cheers for Eagle Scout, Carter Timmons! Carter is an Eagle Scout with Boy Scouts of America Troop 506. Troop 506 serves Brookwood, Grayson , Parkview and South Gwinnett School Districts.
Carter’s book drive Eagle Scout project has been over a year in the making. Carter is a dedicated and thoughtful young man.
In November 2019, Carter collaborated with our Reach Out and Read Georgia team to orchestrate a “build day.” Carter constructed a drop box for book donations that will be used during a book drive at the his school.
After the books are collected, Carter plans to sort, box and coordinate delivery to local pediatric partners in his community.
Carter is planning to two community book drives to collect gently used books: one at his school during the holiday season and one at his Boy Scouts of America Court of Honor.
