Indian Health Services grant brings books to Fort Washakie tribal site

The Indian Health Services site at Fort Washakie, along with 44 other IHS sites, will receive children’s books to distribute free of charge at well-child visits.

Reach out and Read, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing books to pediatric care and inspiring families to read aloud together, received $200,000 from Indian Health Services to distribute children’s literature on tribal and native sites for a year.…
